The redevelopment of Central Presbyterian Church in Vancouver's West End community.

This tenant improvement comprises an airy, modern worship hall, a daycare centre, a 3,000 sq. ft. outdoor playground, a commercial kitchen, a dining hall, additional worship rooms, and an office space for Central Presbyterian Church (CPC) employees.

During the project, our team had the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with the Reverend to bring their new church to life. Incorporating historical elements within the modern worship space was an important aspect of this project, including a large stained-glass window which was repurposed from the original church, as well as designing a dedicated space for the church’s original organ.

Outside, public art designed by Michael Lin envelopes the church space and building podium with coloured fritted crosses inkjet printed on 30,000 sq. ft. of glass.

In addition to the church redevelopment, Pendrell by Bosa Properties consists of a residential tower with 168 market rental units, 45 non-market seniors housing units owned by CPC, and a commercial retail unit that’s home to a local café.
